They do have repeaters set down here in the Ozarks. We have what is called Tornado chasers. who operate on various bands including 2-meter.

Everytime i see that word AR-3500 i jump out of my chair. I had the AR-3500 with all the extra's and i sure do miss that radio. For those of you guys who have one DON'T LET IT GO you will be sorry like me. Oh well, time goes on lol

I always heard that the FCC allowed 5 freq. for remote airplanes and such back in the late 60's or early 70's ?? not sure on the actual date of this and some of the old 23 channel base and mobile radios had these channels and they were channel-3a freq. 26.995, ch.-7a-27.045, ch.11a-27.095...

Someday that law will be here in the good ol U.S.A. and when that happens i will retire from driving a semi truck. It gets scary when you pass another truck at night and the driver is on their lap-top computer. i have seen this many times lately. Hmmmmm where is their minds ???? Not on the road.
