I am not using a rotor for now, just wanted to get the beam up and running pointed in the best direction for what I wanted to hear/make contacts. I will be adding a rotor + another section of tower this summer.
I will need to climb and loose the bolts/turn mast by hand and re
tighten bolts.
Well I do not know if I got it right now that I go the beam up. It is pointed in the best I can tell with my compass is between 45 and 50 degrees. The swr dropped from 1.3 when it was close to the ground to 1.1 through most all the 10 meter band which surprised me.
Any way, I know the beam is...
Well I would have had this all up sooner but when I was soldering new ends on my coax I found that the outer braid was green from water intrusion, as I cut more and more off to find a good spot it just kept getting worse so I ordered all new coax with crimped ends.
Got her up Sunday after noon...
All the extra work I did for nothing lol, I can say that the switch works great. I am glad I got it now and saved more than I paid for it not having to run five 110ft runs of coax.

Yes, you got dead on, I have control wire with 8 wires in it. I used brown, blue and green solid and the white with brown, white with blue and white with green on the controller. I thought it was the same on the remote switch but instead of the white with brown I used the white with orange...
So all that instruction you gave me in null and void? Well I will check each port with the meter like Captain Kilowatt says but if that fails to discover the problem I guess off to Ameritron it goes, I never had a problem with there items till now. It is brand spanking new from HRO.
Thank you Marconi, I will check it tomorrow after work. I just got in from checking the switch wires to be sure I do not have them crossed but they are fine. I did take the cover off the remote switch and had my wife work the controller, I seen that the #1 relay did not activate and the #2 and 3...
Well I been looking and and trying to figure it out when after testing everything over and over I thought about the newest part of my system and it is the switch. I bypassed the Ameritron remote switch and the swr dropped to 1.2 and the coax connector stopped acting funny when touching the outer...
Don't know what is wrong now. I got new Davis bury flex from RF connection, put 259 connectors on it, checked the coax with a ohm meter and all seems ok till I hook it up.
When I plug it into the back of the radio and all is quiet, can not hear a thing but quiet static.
I unplugged the coax...
I have an amp relay cord that is made for an IC-7000 which I used with my Ameritron AL-811 amp. It has a relay built in to protect the radio.
I do not have a 7k any more and it will not work for my 756 pro 3 and it is like new. I am offering it here for 10 bucks and shipping in a padded...
Thanks for all the good info, I learn so many good things on this forum. It is funny how some things are not what they seem though and this heading stuf is one of them lol.
