    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Nothing to see, it is inside the oak, you can hardly see it, I can only see bits of it at a time, so a phot is impossible, but I can post the feed line and the tree if you like.

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Yes my diamond is the winner so far out of just about every antenna I have hung. It just works for me here, the edz did great on am skip, but does not do well here 30 miles out at all, think I have some issue, maybe feed line radiating like a horizontal, but on am skip it worked like crazy.

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

yes I did the 1.7 meter drop at 5cm wide, then attached my home made 300 ohm ladder line to ther, at the other end at the house eves, I put on the 4:1 balun, then about 6 feet of coax to the swr , meter, then a short jump to the radio. swr of 1.3, not getting out well locally, but did about 30...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

seem to have it tuned now, 130 ish feet of 300 ohm home made ladder line to a 4:1 coax balun, have a 1.3 swr, will be talking on this thing over the next few days, it has great ears, have it 75 feet to the top in a 100 foot oak tree. Used a 1 pound weight on a rope to hang the bottom leg and...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Hey thanks for the pdf, very interesting stuff. This is what I like about antenna building, always more to learn, have a edz up vertical at 75 feet to the top, still trying to get her tuned on open line, as it is about 140 feet of feeder, have had it working, but it is not getting out like it...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Got the zepp working well, no complaints it gets out and has great receive. It is back on the shop wall for now. I have some other projects to complete. Making open wire line, to get a vertical diamond up 80 feet in my oak tree.

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Not a bisquare, an omni diamond, designed it myself, best antenna I have used so far. Have tested them down to 40 cm width, have great swr, with 4:1 balun, I have built 3 of these hung them in many locations even low to the ground, they have worked better than anything so far, I have built or...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Have a zepp up in the yard, still testing but so far not super impressed, It has not beat the diamond yet. Will know more by tomorrow. It models great in software, but so far it is not pulling it's weight on the air.

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Well do post some pictures and info, I have interest in this as well for a project, I have a very huge oak tree close to 90 feet tall in my yard, so I can hang it quite easily, some large spruce as well.

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

yes just turn the picture on its side, be hard to impossible, to do in pvc, going to need to be over 50 feet to the top and in the clear, could be rope hung from a tall tree, then a rope out for the feed. Or could be boom mounted off the side of a tower 60 inches out, and some pvc thru the tower...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

Only issue I have read on this antenna is, it is very narrow in the beam width on the horizontal, so you need to aim it at who you want to talk to, even more narrow than a 4 element yagi. Being so large, it is a leave in place antenna for the most part. On the vertical full omni so no issue, but...

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

it is like a dipole, but yes large, it is a 5/8 wave each side, and the drop is to match the impedance to 50 ohm

    11 meter Extended Double Zepp

So your mounting it vertical: she will be a long one at 45 feet tall, how do you plan on hanging it? I modeled it as a vertical, it gets about 5.5 dbi when vertical.
