100hz tuning At the moment the problem is the extra digit. What if were were to include the step but not the digit? Those that didn't know and didn't want it wouldn't use it. Those that needed it would have to count the clicks! After 10 clicks the 1khz digit would jump up or down...problem...

scanning I think only the optima will scan just the memories. The rest just run up and down the band..40channel segment they are in.

RMS pactor Yes thats what they do...they scan and respond to incoming calls so the onus on use is on the station calling in which initiates the call. My pactor station is located 125km away from the house and other than by watching whats going through remote desk top I seldom have to do...

Optima Mic I use the SM-20 with low cut in.. Another feature Booty did not mention is the relatively hidden func and button 4 which scans the memories only...... I use that a lot... Cheers, Dave

HLA300V It is a fine amp but can give problems. Just have to watch 2 things real close. Overdriving it and SWR. Seems to work best at 5w input and very low swr as it is susceptible to SWR. There has been a couple of upgrades since it first came out. Dave
