I guess now that I am home and see the schematic it is a capacitor, so I will probably be testing that one
So, it's a 2 watt 10,000 ohm resistor, and it does look like it goes to the center of the output coax
It broke off the antenna connector when I was originally removing the board and it had looked like it was soldered to the center stud by the way the solder looked right there when it came off but whoever worked on it before I am wondering if they soldered that to the wrong spot but I ended up...
I used the 2NC945 I had to twist one around pretty good but it worked out ok but no I have not checked them since the install, but sitting here on break I am thinking about something that I may have done incorrectly, there is a large resistor on that relay board on the bottom and it goes down to...
What does that pot really do anyways? Is it possible that is the issue with the relay staying engaged when switched to low or high power without keying the mic ? Thanks
And thanks for the advice
I ended up staying up last night until blurry eyed with this thing past 1 am back to work at 5 , well, you were correct again I had Q1 transistor incorrect! After I put them the way they are supposed to be I bet I checked the schematic 20 times, unfortunately the...
Ok, I sure will ! I have to eat and get ready for bed but i will check the orientation of them tomorrow after work from the schematic, I sure appreciate you helping me with this mess
I replace the D5 on the keying relay board, now the relay kicks in but it kicks in right away when I switch to low or high power without keying the mic ??? ♂️
I now also have 17 dc volts at the green and blue and white wire at the relay with the low or high power on and the power goes away when switched to bypass like it is supposed to ! However the relay still is not kicking in but I may need to test that zener diode and other stuff on the relay...
