Hi Nomadradio, this is the diode I saw back on the rail by the fuse but It is the only one I saw and I had unsoldered it and tested it and it passed the test, let me know if this is one that you were referring to or if there are more down in there hidden possibly? Thank you for the help

Hi all, I have a JB12 that has started red plating the 6bq5 tube and I can't seem to figure out why, I have tried replacing the coupling capacitor and have checked the values on the resistors and all seems good ‍♂️ does anybody have any other ideas? Thanks

Well, by jumping pins 2 and 8 the transceiver is not keying up is all I know

Hi I am working on a kenwood ts-430s and the radio is not keying up with the desk mic but is with the send switch, anyone know what pins to jump on the mic plug to force this radio to key so I can check and verify it is the MC 60 microphone that is causing the issue, Thanks

Yeah, I normally use a torch files and a small needle to try to tighten prongs a tad and Deoxit contact cleaner on the sockets ‍♂️

Also, if this resistor is ok in this unit I know that it is not in another one I have ! So I may be buying the ceramic fix from you soon

I will look into this tube also ! I found it odd when I wiggled the other one a few different times the modulation kicked in though, odd as it did it several times but now, nothing

Thank you very much for that comment I wondered how the mode switch actually broke down now I understand how by your comment, now I know even if there is continuity where there should be there can still be voltage leaking in that shouldn't be ! And I will also look at R51 closely and see

I believe it to be somthing else since I was wiggling that tube and it kicked it a couple times, I now however do not believe it to be the socket though

Yeah, I know this switch can cause alot of issues, but at least the terminals that I can get to had continuity when they should ‍♂️

I should also mention that I have tested all the tubes and they are good
