thats EXACTLY what i did with my grundig S350DL AND my hallicrafters s-40B.... its all you really need for SWL i did however build a fullwave dipole for FM broadcast band for my grundig scott

steve.... where are you at in PA??? i'm in reading and we have a pretty good group of operators here that would be happy to give you a hand on 11M SSB if you are close enough.... most of us are hams and spend most of our time on the ham bands so we dont really have a set frequency for CB...

you sure theyre 6LQ6s??? only reason i ask is because ive had 5 of them and every one was 6JG6 or equivalent.. the LQ is a different animal altogether... with the JG6s or the like typical is key 75 ish (+/- 25> and swing 175ish again + or - theres a good "tube amp primer" on this site...
