So ever since we switched to daylight savings time, the clock on my Kenwood D710 is an hour behind. I have tried setting the clock correct but apparently the GPS time info overrides the manual settings. My UTC offset is correct.
Is there a setting to make this right? Or should I just move...
I went with the 710 primarily because of the exposed TNC and the digipeater built in.
As far as the connecting cables, I picked up a lan cable I had laying around and used that to connect to the head. It hasn't picked up any interference that I can hear. The included Kenwood filters were a...
I'd just install the program on your PC and use your PC mic and speakers. Works well for me (and it's the only way for me since there's no node-linked repeater next to me).
Sorry, it's a Kenwood AT-200. But those LDG baluns would still work very well with it. I've already got plenty of 450 ladder line too. Really just need to get the appropriate length of wire for the legs.
I'm using an AT-200.
I can reconsider my antenna design. I've gone outside with my measuring tape and realize I have a crap ton more space than I had thought. I'd still have to have the legs off kilter but I can do a 1/2 wave 160M if I want to. I'm limited on how high I can get, but I can...
Makes sense to me. I'm going to get some wire and make me an antenna this weekend. As long as it's not blizzarding I should be able to get it up. Thanks.
Yes, that's what I'm going to do. I just thought someone might have some insight to this particular question of leg direction in any nonspecific installation. I'm not looking to reinvent the wheel so any head start is good in my book.
I'm looking to place a G5RV with the center about 35' high (so the ladder feed point will be near the ground), and the ends sloping to a 10' termination. I will have some structures nearby but I can't get away from that. I guess I'm asking from a perfect free space perspective.
I'd like...
I'd like some clarification on the leg direction of dipoles. I may need to erect a dipole with the legs going in different directions, IE one leg going south and one leg going east (and somewhat sloping ala inverted V). To my understanding that is OK as long as I keep 90 degrees between the...
I took posession of a 70cm repeater box that has been sitting in the garage of the local club for some time. It looks like the controller is a Zetron Model 48 (running a couple of GM300's). I've been to repeater builder and got some manuals but I'm trying to find the terminal software so I can...
