Title pretty much says it all - who has a D-Star radio that is signed up for the club? Now that we have a working repeater, it would be fun to have a D-Star net :)

No D-star here mate, the cost is way out of my price range. If there was a known project to interface a PC driven encode/decode then i can play D-star

The DVDongle does that - plugs into a USB port and you use your PC Mic/Speakers. Costs about $250, I believe.

Can one of you that have D-Star radios test to see if you can connect your local repeater directly to W9WDX B? I think it should work, but I haven't been able to get anyone to test connecting directly to it, only W9WDX B connecting to other repeaters/gateways.

Let me know what happens.

Didn't I get a ration from the PAPA crowd when I linked yours through Santiago? I don't really remember what happened...

Besides yours, that's the only D-Star machine that I can hit from here and they tend to frown on linking outside of their system. Seems like a waste to me...

I can't remember if you linked to PAPA of if I initiated it from W9WDX. Those guys got irritated because your radio was switching over to RX from another repeater with that auto-repeater setting and all they could hear was a one way conversation. But yeah, they're would up a little tight over there, it seems, lol.
