Hello Everybody! I'm about ready to set up a base antenna with the mast attached to the eve of my house and I know to connect one end of the ground copper wire to the ground rod; my question: what's the best place to connect the other end? To the bottom of the mast OR inline with the coax...
Thanks! And, another questions if you please...
Thanks for all the great suggestions! One other question I have is "What is the difference between a ceramic and digital or analog microphone?" Thanks for everyone's help and advice!
As far as Transmit and Receive is concerned you will not notice a difference. So, the only real difference is price... It is a very good antenna. I bought the 5000 when I went to a shop that quoted me a price for the 1000 then gave me the 5000 and charged me the same price.

Hello Everybody! I am retired on a fixed income and would like to set up a CB base station from scratch but have limited funds... $500. So, I'm asking for recommendations for the most bang for my bucks and yes, I would like to skip if possible. Thanks in advance for your help!!! rockymount622
I looked all over the box and couldn't find any info on where they are made but on back of the pamphlet that comes with it in the lower left hand corner on the back page is an American flag and under that in a very small font it says "Made in USA"
Thanks for the quick reply.. I have tuned the wilson 5000 to 1.1 on channel 1 and 1.2 on channel 40... satisfied with the radio so far... Cobra 148 GTL
Hello, Please bear with me as I am a Newbie.. I purchased a cheap Workman SWR-3P Meter to tune an antenna I put on my pick-up. It came with a tiny antenna. There is no documentation with the meter as to how it is used. Does it have to be on the meter for it to work properly? Thanks in advance.
This is correct info... I am a retired carrier and we got packages all the time to deliver that doesn't have enough postage on them. We had to sign for them and pay the accountables clerk the postage due when we finished our deliveries. I would leave an envelope with the parcel for the postage...
