That is what Dave at DaveMade New Jersey is doing. Actually he's attempting to make it a module. 747 in the garden has the tech in his 29 and 704 in Philly has it in his 2000. There's some rack equipment involved...eq's etc., etc.

The guys I know who are using wide band audio are using icoms for receivers while one guy is using a 29 and another guy is using a 2000 for a transmitter.

Have you tried calling the power company and placing a complaint? At the same time you can ask if the power lines are also transmitting data. (BPL) I think you can make a complaint through the FCC because it's interferring with your ability to rx.

Hey Tony, when you say "true" peak reading meter are you speaking of the meters with active circuitry that reads peaks and has a hold function? I see some meters that claim to read peaks but every meter that has a 12v d.c. input doesn't read peaks. Some of them use the 12v to light the unit...
well my AR wasn't hacked by any of the aforementioned hack shack quacks, it's suffering from old age syndromes. Bob seems to have a good rep among a lot of operators. Besides I just want the radio back aligned, peaked and tuned but on freq. with no splatter. My AR is missing a little push button...
