Booty, I was more concerned about the 1 watt swinging close to 80 watts pep into the 500v. I do not want to burn up a good amp. thanks for everyone's replies on this. i have a chance to trade my 667v for a 500v.

Can I take the S45hp and run a Tx.Star 500v behind this radio ?? I know it can swing up to 80 watts. I do have a Tx.Star 667v and I don't think i could use that amp with the S45hp radio. Any comments would be helpful. Thank you.

Back when Clear Channel Corp. was in business, I bought a AR-3500-100wt model with a Speech Processor ( knob pulled out ) That Speech Processor made a lot of difference in my modulation. That was One Radio, I still kick my self in the butt for getting rid of.

Find a CB Shop with the KNOW-HOW. Ask around about the CB Shop before you do any business. Anyone can turn a screwdriver and Hack-Up a Good Radio. And Remember CB Shops are a dime a dozen. A good one is getting hard to find.

I agree, I would keep the T.S.500 and buy a Magnum Stock S-9 40-50wt. radio and match it to the Amp. JMO.

What about Bob's CB Shop off of I-80 in Penn. He has a web-site, And he works on Galaxy's with Mod Kits. I have never used him yet. When my Tech retires, Then I will be in trouble.
