radio has a silver faceplate on it (not the origional black). its functional like it should be. am/ssb/fm, echo, roger beep. 8 bands of 40. its the same inside as a dx99v minus the robot/voice changer modes.
the meter is getting sticky but works most of the time. this is my all time favorite...
rci 2950dx black face with green numbers. i had to have one as soon as they came out because they were always my favorite radios and the new display is bad ass. full frequency coverage from 24mhz-32mhz. so it covers 12 meter ham, cb,and 10 meter hamradio still looks and functions like brand...

working on a 139xlr and I can't get it to accept extras for the life of me. anyone have a picture of a ssb 858 chassis (trace side) so I can make sure I'm doing the right pins.

+1 on the 200 mosfet driver failing. its all that ever goes wrong with them. the gate volate is to much if set to facotry settings (much like the 2970dx2's) reducing it makes them last for a long time, the other issue is the mosfets are very static prone. a grounding strap to the radio might...
the only reason i would hold off on the 2970n2 is there a little bit unstable on sideband when the mosfets heat up during long qso's. it can be verified in the cbradiomagizine review and just by googleing.
that's the reason i chose to go with a 2950dx black face and an amp.
