the magum 257 loses its ctcss tone ablily once you convert it over to cb use.
of course it depends if you have active 10m repeters in your area. adding a tone board to a rci 29xx is really simple with the modern dx radios. i suggest one of those if you are considering a duel band radio...
i see the cherokee ah-100 handitalks are back in production, my thoughs are the magnums are once again the same. they were anounced in the spring, my guess is magnum uses a copy. -+

cm 10 is back as well but no price listed.
you dont need to open he clairifer to go between channels like you did in the 80's. peiple learned how to do it with a switch, 1 will go up 10 one will go down 10. it depends what frequency you are so you know to go up or down.
LSAC I Repeaters

buddy's looking to sell one, not sure what there worth now a days. only a few hours talk time on it because his power supply couldn't handle it. great shape. 2290 driving 4 2879's if i remember correctly.

i wouldn't spend $3200 for a 1000w pep amp and would never spend $3200 for an amp to use on the cb band exclusively.
look for around 500w. you can save $2900 buy buying an old sb200. the 1/2 s-unit you lose you can make up with a better antenna.
nearly all cell carriers are digital now do the old 800mhz analog scanners wont work anymore. you might be able to find a 1.2 or 2.4ghz scanner and listen to your neighbors phone calls. many baby monitors are in the 27mhz and 49/50 mhz range and those are fun to listen to as well.
im not real...
like this?
in all seriousness its more than likely from a vhf radio. ef johnson stoped making cb's years ago but continued to make vhf business radio (even now they still make them). when searching it shows up as a dtmf microphone. looks like it was sold seperatly. commonly sold for use with...
so what your saying is a thief is going to across country to burglarize your house because your not home? get real. burglars are optimistic predators. your way more likely to get robbed by not having a timer on your lights.
if your transmitting out of town an a burglar catches your call...
nothing wrong with the Taiwan 148's other than some had problems with the finals over the years. Taiwan's are the oldest of the bunch but not as desiarable as the phillipene's models. to many buyers. beter than the malay versions at least.
why do the dx's have such a following in the uk? they...
