Can someone point me to the correct pots to adjust the power in a Uniden 76XL? I need to drop the dead key and swing. I used to be able to locate these threads, but for whatever reason my searching isn't working too well...

The radio has been tuned, and done right; and I'd rather not haul it 125 miles to have the correct someone do it for me.

Thanks in Advance!

usually adjust vr4 for modulation and adjust the deadkey with l14

there are 3 areas to address to set total power
L-12, L-13, L-14

I guess my next question is that if the radio was tuned, with the AMC limiter left in tact; then do I want to adjust vr4?

Anyone have the procedure for adjusting this? I just don't want to screw it up. I plan on doing this in the truck, so that I have a constant load (antenna) and voltage.

yes, same as a 29ltd and a 29gtl. depends on the radios as different years had little changes here in there as far as part values goes.

I didn't know there was a DK VR for that. Don't you have to use a cap/resistor to set it or use a TIP31/cap hooked to a pot to have a variable?

Well, since there seems to be some confusion regarding this (and the fact I'm going south this weekend); I'll just stop by DTB and have a variable installed (then I can adjust the power as needed :D).
