nomad, i am looking at a golden falcon 750 that has a delay when keying. If this tube driving the relay is a problem....would it not be better to make a new keying circuit bypassing the original design? the amp works out great in every other way. how much would it be worth? thanks, davis

Does anyone have a link that shows the inside of a roadking mic? I have several that are in pieces and the little wires are all mixed up. I know how to wire it to the radio but not sure of the inside of the mic. There is a passive filter or something that has four wires or so coming out of it...

my two cents .....do what shockwave said to to......I used to trace bad rf for a cable company......all the jumpers and a complicated setup like yours is the problem......the eight pill will do wonders with the right radio. also grounds grounds grounds. hope this helps galyn davis

is there also a silver mica cap going from the combiner to ground....or a metal mica??? Lift up the leg of each pill that is on the top like you were reading the pill info....it is also the leg with the corner cut off. then take an ohm meter and ck it like a diode......the values should be...

I have found the simple resistor mod for talkback on the cobras and unidens is the way to go......the utb 1' s I have I will use in ten meter radios......just my opinion. preacherman

I meant to say that with the super mod setup i get a little more power.....with the jumper put back to its original posistion I lose some of the little bit of swing i have.

ok ...has anyone used other components than the chip that matches up with the 2030. I used the 2030 and at r40 used a resistor and diode in series and another resistor in parallel. if I get it going good I will post it. many thanks davis

dtb, When using the 2030 mosfet upgrade have you ever used the diode and two resistors thing at r 40 ...(I think this is where the other component goes.) instead of the elk component..
