There's a call and name which brings back memories - worked him mobile in February '92 while en route to the old NOARD shop. '2510 and a Wilson 1000; my friend Stan's (KB8JLV-SK) rig. I used the same model radio and a quarter-wave whip in my own mobile setup during the same time frame and worked a bunch of DX while out and about.
It is up and down this afternoon, worked WA4PSO, John then KC4WWL, Jim , and XQ7UP Steve popped up on the band from South America.
The noise floor is real low on ten here today, nice for a change.
I will be back out there in a few calling CQ on 28.445.

10 was WIDE open last till well after dark here...

Was on 480 and felt like a contest/special event station as many wanting to come back to my call

LOL, OK the band is now filling up with contest stations, from Mexico/South America.
