10 meters is smokin'

Damn. I have yet to work Antarctica from my QTH in San Francisco. Farthest south I've gotten is the Falkland Islands (on 20 meters).

Both 10 and 12 meters were really open this weekend. I worked Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Serbia, Croatia, Russia, Hungary, Guam and Japan.

I heard a large pileup on 10 for a station in Saudi Arabia, but I couldn't copy him at all.

I wish I had more antenna and less static. :(

Driving home from work a few minutes ago, I heard a full net going on 28.450 USB clear as day. They were on the east coast I think from SC.

I got ENGLAND,CZECH REPUBLIC and UKRAINE today.all w/ a ALINCO DX77 running barefoot 100 watts and a 10 meter dipole in the attic.the bands were swarming with operators.EUROPE was all over the band i was 59 into CZECH REPUBLIC from PA/NY border.

Lots of fun!!! 10 meters and 17 meters have to be my top, favorite
bands. Followed by 40 meters.
