11 Meter CB antenna plans needed

Hi everyone, Is there a person who has a detailed construction plan for a 11 meter band arial , I am looking at building a cb radio home base antennae for my workshop unit, 1/2 wave , 5/8 anything will do. Please can anyone send me plans as I have searched and so far nothing. I currently have a 5/8 on my roof and was thinking of reverse engineering it however if I can build one from a plan it would be great, thanks GARY
Moxon,I built one using 3\4" emt

Yes Yes Good Good i like idea very much of you send me free antenna to use my house. Free antenna cheaper than build or buy. This great site free stuff for christmas many thanks :ROFLMAO:

One time I used one of those paint / mud / mini-concrete mixers you'd affix to the end of a drill. Basically, I shoved the part you'd put in the drill into the ground, and made a balancing act out of a mounting bracket and coiled 11m radio antenna as a base station. The only factor that matters here is how large the mounting bracket is compared to the mixer since...you know...gravity. A 33 degree angle about foot above the ground seems to work best.

You can lower the SWR by using a piece of speaker wire (or any wire, we're improvising here people), stripping it and wrapping one end between the antenna and mounting stud itself, then taking a piece of copper rod and "grounding" said speaker wire - take extra care in making sure the speaker wire does NOT touch the mixer and "floats" above your paint mixer mast. This actually works btw, it's hilarious.

You could use a full 102" whip if you want and achieve the exact same effect but the usual cheap roadpro or firestik stuff you can find at any truckstop works surprisingly well. I went through a phase where I'd test stuff out using this setup before I put it on my truck. Keep reading since theres an obvious flaw...

Heres the kicker: there is no ground plane to speak of which means the signal is sent straight up into the air due to the EXTREME low angle. I mean this very literally, the ground should be about a foot below the antenna, max.

I made this as a joke but it turned out to be a legit DX experiment. Enjoy.

Building a working 11m antenna can be done in minutes.
Example:
One (1) 9' household extension cord.
One (1) coax long enough to get back to the radio.
Cut the female block off the cord, split the two wires apart from each other, and attach one end of the coax to the male plug prongs.
The 9' cord is now ~18' long. Fold back ends equally to tune it. Your new dipole can be hung vertically, horizontally or as an inverted Vee.
Not the only quick, easy, and cheap antenna option, but an example of the not so complicated manner of many antennas.
