11 meter is very quiet?

I been doing some reading on here about the WDX thing, and I see there is already a 2112 in MO. I downloade the exel spreadsheet and see that 456 is available. I will stop using the 2112 and if 456 is still available i would like to sign up as Del, N.E. AR, WDX-456.

Yesterday, a ton of antenna noise and static, plus noise bursts from neighboring thunderstorms pretty much ruined any chances of good Dx. So I put my TRC-457 on the bench and started working on it as a future replacement for my 139XLR. About 8 pm, the noise faded and a bunch of stations having night time conversations came booming in clear as a bell. Most were hitting me 7 - 9. I broke in and asked their QTH. All were in eastern Georgia. A few of them said they had heard me before, but never connected. We talked until about 10:30 when conditions slowly dropped out.

Any of you guy experienced night time Dx conditions yesterday ?? It was like they were next door.

Yesterday? I check every few hours up until 8:30 and never heard much of anything. I did hear Australia faintly coming in around 8:30pm but that was all. There was no chance of making contact.

There's still hope for today. I'll be working outside around the house today, but I'll check in when I can.

Yes ! It's been better at night than in the day recently ! It was dead all day yesterday until about 8pm, then the floodgates opened and it was non-stop S9 contacts to California, Alberta, Utah, Nevada and Arizona until almost midnight. There were still stations coming in when I hit the sack......

Well I was on for about a hour and half, absolutely
I heard AMERICAN EAGLE calling CQ-DX on 37 yesterday afternoon. I thought he was our forum member but was in Arkansas, not Pennsylvania. Nevertheless had a nice QSO anyway. Maybe next time WDX1863.

Long ago, there was an American Eagle CB Club. I remember hearing various "American Eagle" stations back in the 80's and 90's. They had a club channel up above, it might have been 27.485LSB if memory serves.......
I always just assumed our American Eagle 575 was part of that old time club LOL!
Ya learn something new every day it seems !

I am part of that club that started in the early 90's, Still part of it even now although I'm sure it's active as it once was.......

There is some American Eagle up in the New England states but can't remember which one. I've been hearing some DX the last couple days but can't seem to get a answer no matter how many times I shout. I learned about that American Eagle Club from CB Junkies. com and the Rep was active a while back but CB Junkies.com doesn't seem to be very active anymore.
