It has been booming from across the pond since early this morning. I heard "Your friend Andy" from Northern Ireland and he was shooting fish in a barrel. Heard another operator from Ireland calling CQ Havana, has anyone talked to Cuba lately?
Most of today was a great one to make contacts. At the moment I've got Alaska, Hawaii and Australia in the receiver and still getting my signal out there.
I made a very brief contact with 295 Mr. Miller in Anchorage. By brief I mean 2 seconds on my end and 2 seconds on his end on each attempt. Apparently guys on the west coast just key up on a contact thinking they will get a reply. They could clearly hear me trying to talk with 295, and they could clearly hear him trying to talk to me. Yet they just kept keying up walking on both of us hollering our numbers hoping one of us would reply. Not sure about Mr. Miller, but I refuse to even acknowledge those rude assholes. Other than that, had a good night talking with locals, so not a total loss.

Good Morning Radio Friends, looking at the DX conditions and at the moment they look promising, however I heard or read somewhere that we are expecting another solar flare today,I will be on the Air throughout the day off and on 38 and 37 LSB, hopefully it'll be a good day for Dxing for everyone!!73's
was above 40 lsb 7 clicks .northwest territors was hot,then guy just north of sydney aus came on n talked 30 minutes with s9 quality never dropping or fading. then alaska. was good skip nite

I had a surprise late last night. It was around 8:00 pm when a station from Reunion Is. (Indian Ocean) came across the North Pole - 173SD101. Lucky that I had the beam pointing north and was able to work him, he was S8.
The late night DX is exciting, just never know who you will here. In past cycles I have worked several of the central European country's at night. Of course that's on .555usb.....

I was working a station out of North Carolina last year, using the 2547 and a helper. Afterwards I looked over to the helper and saw that it wasn't even on! This was a nice reminder.

On another note, Florida is poised to get slammed with yet another hurricane. Milton is expected to hit the Western Coast of Florida by Wednesday with winds over 100mph! Everyone down there stay safe!!!

Was just listening to Bryan Norcross on Fox weather and he said possibly this hurricane could be a Cat 4 or even a 5 at landfall if conditions come together,too soon to tell, just what Florida doesn't need, another hurricane, Thinking about and praying for all the people in the South!!

The old Dx got rocking early this morning as soon as I turned the radio on to listen as I was prepping for the day. It was trailer rebuilding day today so as I was traveling for parts I could listen to some good DX with multiple channels busy. Starting to get excited about being shut in and having some radio time.
I took advantage of my day off and made my first few contacts on sstv at 27.700 using a makeshift interface on my Galaxy dx 2517. France was coming in pretty good this morning.

I was on for quite some time but the pileup was atrocious! Very hard to pick one out as every time I wanted to contact someone, someone else talked over the top. It was brutal.
