11 meter is very quiet?

I will be on the air starting around 11 AM EST today. Gotta catch up on the DX to get over the withdrawls from 3 months of inactivity. 37 LSB/ 35 USB.

Hearing lots of Europe on .375, .360, .385 here in OH

Plenty of DX on 37LSB this morning and afternoon. Lots of SoCAl stations, Oregon, and Colorado. A few midwest and east coast stations too. A lot of operators are being shoved into the mud by the big dogs who seem to dominate the channel. I guess I will have to start moving around if I want to talk to more than the dozen or so stations who hog all the air time on 37 lower.
Called for WDX stations several times but no takers. Even on 35 USB.

I've been super busy with work stuff lately but when I am on the radio it's pretty much been either 26.805 FM or 27.440 LSB. Lots of great operators on both those channels......
From time to time I do spin the channel knob to see what's happening elsewhere on the band; but with the current great conditions the regular 40 is just way too crowded and noisy for me!
Once skip has gone for the day I do drop down to 38 just in case any of my MIA locals decide to make an appearance.

I didn't have any success today and was shoved into the mud like you say. I tried shouting on 35 USB also and got no where. Tomorrow is another day and I have my projects to keep me occupied. Never a dull moment !

I didn't turn the radio on until just before dark. Skip was short this evening. Talked to several Alabama stations, which I don't get very often. 30 minutes of some very nice contacts.

i made a contac to ny,another to alabama n 1 to tejas then the big dawgs started in. wait your turn im talking... and at 3:35 am georgia is coming in on 31 am.
I haven't been lucky enough to get out anywhere and my neighbor must be working half days thru the holidays so I can't work my base often. But life is anything but boring around here. Something always to keep you hopping, but I wouldn't have it any other way. LOL And yesterday was Achy hip day so I wasn't Hopping too high & far ! LOL
