It could have been. I just thought it was weird that it truncated my signal so abruptly but with mother nature I guess anything is possible

Some conditions with NY, PA and Canada now... Also had some very weak RX from Europe, but not strong enough for my weak little mobile!

No no. It was from one of those SDR sites I found on youtube. The SDR site was located in Buffalo,NY. It was weird to hear the conditions coming into Buffalo from the different states as I recall a lot of the conversations from my end in comparison. I just tried to locate the youtube links and it looks like somebody took those videos down. No it was definitely propagation. No way in hell I can do a signal like that without it.

An S Meter reading can be very different even on two radios of the same model because it is not a precise instrument.
