11 meter is very quiet?

Been hearing a lot of activity on the radio but been in full swing of summer tear down and winter prep. But I did take the time to open the KL-203 P and spray the switches with contact cleaner because I gotta get it ready for my 2 Hr. road trip this week so it is a reinstall tomorrow. And the trees keep getting bare !

did get a few dx moments on 22 then 31 then avoided 33 to 40.went 1 click above n hit scotland. later on 27.48500 lsb got several west coast contacs as the usual bunch of us were at the gathering of the minds

Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Got my new workbench completed, and started putting things back in order. Gonna try to get back on the air later today. 37LSB.

Thanks Bob -
Appreciate the kind words. It felt good to finally fire up the old Cobra again. I know we'll hook up soon.

I hooked my station up, but when I keyed up, my amp's relay chattered. I thought the ssb delay cap had failed. Opened up the amp and it checked good. Looked over the delay circuit, and found a bad solder joint from the common pole on the am/ssb switch to the main board. The amp sometimes gets hot as hell when I get to ratchet-jawing. I think this weakened the joint since the amp has been running perfect for many months. Resoldered and working 100% again.
