11 vs 10 meter

So, I guess insults are ok if you end it with "a gimme" then ?
You need an amateur radio licence for 10m. I heard 10m propagation is rather similar but not exactly the same as 11m.
I would probably expect shorter, less personal contacts on the 10m amateur band. The occasional station may want a long chat.
The band at the moment is open fleetingly for F2 layer contacts at this stage in the solar cycle so if you have a lot of time on your hands and like a long wait listening to hiss for occasional dx it may be the band for you. You can get some nice surprises. In summer months you can get shorter distance contacts of up to 2,000kms courtesy of the E layer, sometimes longer with multi hop. That can be fun for a little while.
Give it 3 years and it will most likely replace 20m as the most popular place to F2 layer DX.
You may need to tune your antenna again to get a low SWR depending on what you are using.

Exactly what are you asking? I mean, you can turn this into a 50 page thread with the differences between 10 & 11 meter. There's the legal aspects, the frequency ranges, the attitude of some operators.....there's actually a good bit of difference when you dig into it.
As a 10 meter radio, they are not very desirable.
1: AM/FM only...Worthless to a Tech Class here in the states. Those small sections of the band are not usable.
Even a General class without a FM/split and tone capable, pretty much only usable on a small segment of the Simplex band(29.500-29.600).
AM again very small usable section bottom end of the 29.0-29.200 slot.
For CB usage, I am guessing some easy mod would be required to convert.
However no SSB, unless your a "driver" AM only rig is not the most desired either IMHO.
10 meters operation here is 75% USB and about 25% CW...

Oh yes you are right I see no SSB on his radio. The rest was just giving a bit of background on 10 vs 11 as a band which is what is thought was the main thrust of the thread.

Wasted money, return it and buy a radio that has SSB in it. Never buy a radio on how it "looks" but in its specs and usefulness.
