I see several mods to improve the recieve. My question is should I combine them or just pick one. For example i could change d11 & d12 I could also change q101.

Should I do both?

Hi I would start with Receive Mod 1:

Increasing the Receive Audio I

To correct this, Add a 4.7uf 16v Electrolytic capacitor across (in Parallel) with R152 (a 560 ohm resistor). This modification will increase the receive audio.

Most say that this does the trick and there is little need to do more.

The Diode mods are next best, The Q101 mod tends to be a bit excesive, (too much gain).

Yes it does,

The Negative lead will be on the Inside Leg of R152, the Positive will be on the Out side leg (Closest to the edge of the PCB)

I have updated the Mod Diagram for this mod on my page.

I hope this helps...
