I want to buy Ranger 2970N2. The cheapest place online is Coppers, which doesn't comfort me much. If I buy from them I will want it stock and unmolested by their bench gorillas.

i have heard that Copper will keep the E-Chip if you don't have them do the conversion. Is this a true statement? I believe the chip is placed in the mic bag by the factory. It would torque my biscuit if they were to keep it.

Has anyone ordered one from them and have this happen?

Call them and ask them. Tell them you'll buy the radio if they include it. If they won't, tell them to suck your dick and you'll take your money elsewhere.

Pay with a credit card. If they leave it out, make them take it back for full refund and go through your card company if they give you any crap.

Nevermind. Copper just sucks. Pay a couple more bucks and get it somewhere else.

cbradiosplus.com has them for $379. Only $5 more than copper and they are good people

Good luck

They want $399.95 for the 2970. I realize it not that much extra, but I was hoping to hear if anyone has had Copper snag their chip.

You're right again. $399 it is. I must have been looking at the wrong pic.

Okay, I'd pay $25 more to away from copper and deny them the business

Remember...........the cheapest seller is not always the best seller. A good reputation is well worth the extra money and peace of mind.

Better to lick nectar off the lotus petal than to scrape balls on the jagged edge of cheapness

Palcoelectronics sells them for $399.00 with free shipping. Dude says chip comes with it.

With Copper's shipping, it would be about same price. So I ordered it.

I would still like to know if Copper keeps the chip.
