Anyone there?

I'll be there tomorrow and Friday and Sat. early afternoon to Warren and back.

Freq, + or - and pl.

Don't reply all at once, lol.

I'll be there all week.

1200 to about 2000 in MI central time.

WTF? am I, an RF leper?

Anyway, 10M, 11M, VHF, UHF users near I65 in IN, 64 between Louisville and Lexington KY, 75 from Knoxville TN to Lexington KY, 15 south from 64 in KY and 81 from Atkins VA to Knoxville can lemme know about a frequency.

Well this won't be much help....Your out of my zone on about all freq's except maybe 6m....
When I go toward KY/TN (been a while) I always loaded
146.55
146.58
146.46
147.57
Simplex
These new 50/75+ watt 2m rigs (My FT-2900 / 84 watts) will go a long way, when the band is right...
Plug those in...
I"ve chatted with op's for 20-30 minutes in the 50- 100+ mile range many times...
Sorry to be of no help repeater wise....I can't think of any "Big Guns" systems that direction...I know Knoxville and Johnson City, TN...Had a couple but been to long time now, most likely all changed...
Enjoy...Drive Safely
All the Best
Gary

PS: Unless your a truck driver....There's only one good reason to make a drive like that in such a short time frame!!!....
You bought some "New" gear...
Give it up....Going after a Henry 8K?????

Yep, truck driver. Put my 706MKIIG in the truck. Bummer is antennas. Truck antennas for a Cobra 25, 10K for HF on the Icom and a Larsen 5/8 wave for VHF/UHF. Can throw in an AT11 tuner if needed. Can cut down a 102" whip for 6M if I find a need. Already have the Freightliner co-phase, 10K, Larsen, Satellite and PeopleNet antennas. Need more mounting places.

You need to lose the 10K on HF and get a "Screwdriver"...You be shocked who you'll work
I had the small Yaesu/ATAS-120A....That thing really surprised me...
When installed now I run a KJ7U/KW 160-6 now(3-1/2" Coil)....Works damn nice on 75/40m....17/15/10m...with 100 wts is really good....

I know a guy who mounted his screwdriver to the tow hole in the front bumper of his Volvo

It's a bummer to have a company truck. Restricts what you can do.

In the next year or two, I expect to buy my own.

One of these would be a good mount for some antennas.

WOW, a thin piece of stainless is a vision obstruction? Whatta prick. Since we are up to our neck in taxes, they use crap like that as "revenue enhancement". Cops get told that there won't be money to pay them from taxes, so write a boatload of tickets. Sick shit.

Maybe I can contact you on the radio sometime.

When I'm loaded from Atkins, VA, I have to take 81 to 40 to 640 to 75 because of the grades. Sometimes the long way takes less time. If I'm not too heavy I use 25E from 81 to 75. Been through Morristown a few times.

Lemme know.

yeah sorry i missed the posts, yeak let me know the next time you roll though, i don't drive truck anymore.

long story for another day though.
