2m beams quad vs yagi

Hay 1220 when I drove by Sonwatchers place I saw black spots on the shingles from that big yagi burning that signal out the attic. I don't know about that 10 watt story anymore :)

Gulf Alpha makes some good stuff. I heard Cubex quads is for sale and also Lightningbolt quads are no longer in business. But I'm going to order that Cubex Killerbee tribander quad this spring and give it a try.

Good luck with that Yagi.

Hey CDX1220

I use their dual polarity 9 element (9 vertical & 9 horizontel)
but gulf alpha no longer makes those..

but their antennas are top notch and top shelf

i can say from experience..
also very easy to put together..

Hey CDX1220

I hear you..
but they also get out very well..
on my dual polarity 9 element 2 meter yagi beam
i managed to get to the carribean

for my beams i am running Andrews Heliax LDF7-50A
(this stuff is not the easiest to work with...but it sure works great)

did you order the antenna yet..

let me know if Pete gives you a problem..
he is a good guy..
but he gets stressed out..
he is afraid of being able to keep his dead lines..

but he does make exellent antennas..
