2m max TX power?

Its not terribly difficult to get high power on two meters.
There is the palstar commander II amplifier with a single 3CPX800A7 triode providing 1000 watts rated output on two meters.
 
And if you'd like to step up a tad from the V8000's 75 watts the Icom 746 or 746PRO is 100 watts along with having sideband (100) and 40 watts (swings to 80) on AM.

And there's loads of 2 meter transistor amplifiers that'll give ya 200-300 watts somewhere in there.
