The last truckbox that I bought that came with J-hooks said in the instructions that those hooks are for temporary transportation of the box only and before any weight is put into the box it must be bolted to the bedrails. Also if its diamond plate a quick pass with the grinder makes for a nice flat surface for mounting. Just dont get carried away, that aluminum is soft and thin.
