Wanted to offer some help for "next time"...

Got an old PC board with jumper headers?

Look at TP5 - then go look at that PC Board header...

You might find it easier to "solder one in" and use it as needed and as necessary

The main idea here is to use something that allows you to make a universal adapter tie point for your test point as a means to standardize your efforts in tracking down these difficult children the Oscillators are.

Although I don't think the parade through the different manuals could be helped...maybe it could, but the good news is that the radio is now working, and I learned a different way to unlock the clarifier other than the 2 methods recorded in other posts/sites.

It's a win win as far as I'm concerned and definitely a learning experience for me, and possibly others.

Wasn't bothered at all, it helps me learn to know-how-to on how-to "better explain" what I'm thinking.
