A friend of mine asked me this morning who would you send your cb to. To get peaked and worked on. He is a over the road trucker and he said he doesn't trust a lot of shops on the road. he said he would like to have a little more power on his cobra and maybe be able to hear better.

The shops that guys on this forum swear by are Sparky's CB Shack, DTB Radio, and SS8541 Electronics. I personally have had work done by SS8541, and I have been very pleased with the work they do. They have state of the art equipment and really know their stuff.

Sharpshooter at SS8541 Electronics (first name escapes me at the moment) is the premier place to have your Ranger 2950/70 series worked on as well as almost any other radio. He is a leader in outfitting and servicing emergency response vehicles for law enforcement and fire/EMS. You do not get those contracts by running a shady operation. :thumbup1:

Is SS8541 Electronics the same as Ken's Electronics in Kalamazoo, MI.?
Thank you.

Not in the slightest. SS 8541 Electronics is in Laurinburg North Carolina. He has just put up a new website and it is still under construction. If anyone remembers the old Panther Electronics radio forum, SS 8541 did all the work for John Mahoney's business. John owned Panther Electronics in New Hampshire.

8541 Electronics

I would also add Doug at CBR (custom cb radios) and Bob's cb in PA. I think his name is Richard, SS8541 aka Sharpshooter.

How about trying Mountain View Electronics they did an excellent job on my Magnum S9. I think he charged me something like $45 to check it out and fix it and $10 to ship it back. Their phone number is 865-397-0536.
