A hunter's feast for Football opening weekend

Speaking as someone with some Scottish roots, I still find it hard that someone would concoct a dish made up primarily of all the parts of the sheep that no one would want to eat. Thrifty - you say? Then, mix with that mornings left over oats and then bury it for a time. Seems like it should have been the soccer ball; certainly not something relished to eat. Oh that's right; they remember where they've buried it - so that they can dig it up and use it as an excuse to wash it down with the finest single-malt Scotch whiskey available - while singing songs/reciting poems lamenting Robert Burns and wearing skirts and a purse...

Of course - this was all meant in jest...

i think you'll find modern day scotland a bit different Robb, more likely people will be munching deep fried battered mars bar, washed down with gallons of barrs irn bru or coke,or munching donner kebab whilst pissed on the finest buckfast tonic wine.

robert burns was a wife beating loser who most likely today would be banging hypodermics full of heroin into his arms and robbing farmfoods daily.

my country has changed in many ways, and few of them for the better.20 years ago you could have went out and left your door open and no-one would have touched your house, nowadays if you did that the house would be empty and they would have stolen your door too.

but i do love the American notion Glasgow is a quaint little fishing village by the clyde, lol, even though it makes the bronx, beirut and baghdad look like holiday camps in reality.the reality is my city is the murder capital of europe.which is quite an achievement for such a tiny city.try googling murder capital of europe, you'll get a good idea of life in modern scotland, far removed from burns, shortbread and tartan,if you come here on holiday, don't forget to pack your bullet proof vest.
