In the older Ham radios , is it ok to mix and match you Final tubes . Not the numbers , but the companies . Is it ok to put a GE 6146 tube with an RCA 6146 in the same radio ?
People do it but ideally you want them to have the same gain. Put a weak tube with a strong one, and the strong tube will try to do most of the work. It won't live long in this situation.
Good chance this will work okay. Bearing in mind that the brand name printed onto a tube only tells you who put it into a retail carton, not necessarily who made the tube. Tubes leave the factory with only the type number printed on them.
