Base A99 Height question

If I were to upgrade to a 5/8 wave antenna is it harder to tune or as easy as this A99? I saw a couple antennas that were mentioned on this thread but can we name a couple others so I can get a good idea on what to start looking at?

I looked at the manual for my Sirio and used the dimensions and measurements that they gave for certain frequencies. Then I calculated how much change in frequency was in 1/16 of an inch. Then I calculated what the length needed to be for channel 38 and that's where I put it. I have a video on YouTube that I posted here of how wide banded my Sirio 2008 is. Tuned like mine you wouldn't have to worry where you went.

I'm using an IMAX 2000 at one location and an A99 here on the water. The main reason we're using CB is to communicate from house to boat when we get beyond cell phone range. Running just the stock 4 watts on my Uniden PC-122 through the A99, my son and I spoke almost 40 miles from house to mobile, where I was using a Wilson 1000 magnetic mount. I'm getting respectable performance out of each set up, but I'd like to get them both a few feet higher.

from what im seeing about any antenna from sirio is ok. im sure they got some crapshoots but for the biggest part they are very good ,well construted and easy to set antennas. great build quality
