It was a combination of an unexpected spike in healthy traffic that the host responded poorly to and possible DDOS activity. The best current analysis seems to indicate that the site traffic has grown to a point where we need to switch to a hosting solution that can handle the current traffic demands. Of course, that has a direct cost associated with it...

Having the account's transfer and/or bandwidth limits reached would explain the "slow" behavior of the forum software at random times.

Not that it would help all that much but isn't there an Amazon link that kicks some revenue your way if we buy through them? I saw it quite a while back but can't find it now.

I thought I got banned too! The wife saw me moping around and asked what was wrong. I told her and she just rolled her eyes.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, She told to get out and never come back! I did as she asked. When I would leave China Lake to go to LAX I would fill up in CL and take a five gallon can of gas along as well.

LOL From the responses and the PM's I got after the site came back online I guess you all thought it was YOUR account that was suspended. I immediately thought it was the site's account that was suspended since the message said to contact the hosting company. I wasn't sure just WHY it was suspended at the time however until Moleculoe chimed in.
