Holy moly I didn't realize it was so bad. No wonder I can't talk to anyone lol. Considering that SO-50 is the last FM sat repeater active (to my knowledge, I think there might actually be one other that I've never tried), you get all of these ham operators trying to use the same one and you get just a bunch of garbled mess. I don't have any SSB or CW machines that I can use so FM is really my only option.
If you go back to 2010 on the page you can find recordings from the other FM sats that are now inoperable, a lot of early morning passes might be quiet but most of the daylight passes were busy
