adding a tad more bass to mike

I try to get all my radio's -3db point to 4500Mhz or higher with out turning the radio into a harmonic splatter box.

When I really need to be heard on AM or SSB on comes the compression off goes the EQ and on comes compression with some predetermined cutoff's at both the high end and the low end.

Do not get me wrong I would love to sund like quality FM Commercial Broadcast station but 99.998666% of CB'er's are not modified for hi-fi or eSSB so why waste my time I actually like to talk to people on the radio and do not have talk back on a single radio I own.

I also do not have much power to work with I am not BBi with I think he said a "quadtrillion watts" on air the other day to work with. So I do not want to have to daisy chain 3-4 devices or have to have a 40,000 watt tube amp to key 1/8th of a watt at 300% modulation and swing to 20,000 watts etc....I would build a pole barn and install a lift for cars before I would drop that sort of money into something as silly as insane amplification! My town is only 3.25sq. miles and population 3300 people the power grid would dim if I tried to run that much power! LOL

My Ten-Tec 715 is the One Speech Processor to rule them all especially on SSB. Has 2 knobs and rocks. I own a variety of processors and it is the most consistent out of them all. That said my other units all work fantastic too. I would put it up against any modern built in processing and not feel handicapped in terms of on air performance even if I do not have a lot of adjustments to play with.
