Adios SW BC QRM on 40m!

I wouldn't go so far as to say amazing, but it is far better than it was, still most of the general phone band is cluttered with BC activity starting in the late afternoon, early evening hours. This has only cleaned up 7.175 to 7.200 for us general class operators who prefer SSB over CW. It has done wonders for all CW operators and those SSB operators with an Extra class ticket, but there's still 100 Khz of amateur spectrum between 7.200 and 7.300 that has to squeeze in between those high powered BC stations.....

Now don't take this the wrong way, I'm certainly grateful with what we got, it is a big improvement......

Yes it is a big improvement. I read somewhere that alot of the stations that moved, moved above 7.300 or off of 40m altogether.

Obviously, I'm referring to the portion of the band where the new regulations were enacted: 7.1 to 7.2. The remainder of the band had no such regulatory changes and is, therefore a moot point.

and I'm well aware of that scantheband, not arguing your point, just elaborating on the rest of the band, and making the point that this new regulation benefits Extra class more than it does General class SSB operators.
