I just purchased a like new Alinco DX-R8T on Ebay and boy, am I impressed! Switching between my Icom R-75 and the Alinco with the same antenna, the difference in the signal strength and noise floor was amazing. Of course my Icom is over 15 years old now but I was still impressed with the better noise floor of the Alinco. The R-75 has been my main goto receiver but I think the Alinco may take that spot. If anyone has been thinking about buying one, do it! You won't be disappointed. :D

It's on my short list for 2020. One of the guys I watch on YouTube, Fred-In-The-Shed, has one that he's been using for awhile. (n) All I have to do now is figure out which rig I'll have to sell to get it...;)

I have had the 8T since 2015. I use it with a manual MFJ-941e tuner as a base. I love mine.

Only a few nuances with it like the NB sucks. But other than that I get contacts and good reports. I run the compression on.
