I have the more common Cherokee AH-27F with every option available & it will cover all the way to 28.305 in the VFO mode.It looks & operates as NEW but it lacks SSB which would be Awesome. The SSB models are Crazy in price so I never purchased one & the AH-27F was given to me by a friend who is now a SK so I keep it since she gave it to me.Look in my banner. The walkie talkie on the top left is a Cherokee AH-100. It has AM/SSB. I've used it for years.
I only see one place that has any in stock overseas, and they ain't cheap.Anyone have them in stock at all? Or do they have to be ordered from EU?
Yeah you correct about pricey. I think he's trying to take advantage of availability ! LOLThere is a Cherokee AH-100 on ebay, but its a bit pricey.

I have imported new radios from the UK to the US, I paid no additional fees just radio and shipping. Not too sure how much Customs would hit me for if I did decide to get one though.
Yep, I think I got rid of mine within 6 months or so. Made a profit so I can't complain. Probably been 20 years or so since I had, maybe longer.SSB handhelds. You get all excited about it, buy it, you play around with it and realize it's not as much fun as it sounded, then it sits on your shelf for years. One day you're taking a trip to europe and you go, oh that would be fun for the handheld, you take it with you but since you're on vacation you only turn it on for 5 mins before your wife complains and you put it back in the suitcase.
I sometimes wonder why I bought my AM Midland hand held, Haven't turned it on in awhile, guess it is just that OLD FEVER ! LOLYep, I think I got rid of mine within 6 months or so. Made a profit so I can't complain. Probably been 20 years or so since I had, maybe longer.
