Ammo Availability In Your Area ?

The only reason to call them "tips" is so you can call the complete, loaded cartridge a "bullet."

Local Cabela's said you got to line up starting at 6am for the store to open at 8am on the days they get shipments. Like waitin' in line for concert tickets. I was at Rural King yesterday. They had 7.62X39 and 7.62X54 behind the counter as well as some Norma TAC-22 HV 22 LR. Probably going to pick up some more 7.62X54, store up some more ammo for the old Mosin Nagant. I have a 1928 Mosin Nagant heavy barrel. Its nice to have the rifle and not need it. Same to have the ammo and not need it.

Large rifle primers have gone through the roof. What was 7 dollars 3 years ago is now up to 100 at the last local gun show in Pittsburgh. I was told, that because most all primers come from China, and most of the plant were idled due to COVID-19. That was the explanation I heard on why no ammo. That one and also the break up of Remington hit the US manufacturing.

I use match grade Berger tips for my .308 and my .226. Very pricey however my god what a difference. I'm at work now however I can post the Tip numbers I use. I'm sure they are crazy expensive now, or hard to get. I have a bunch
I have about 1000 of them Berger bullets, all in .22, have had them for over 20 yrs now and still never got around to loading them.........

I've always wanted a 3 screw .45. Never had a 3 screw big bore, but I have had a few 3 screw .357s (including a flat top) and a couple of 3 screw Single Sixes.
