It's not a CB. It's most of an AM table radio, probably pre-WW2, judging by the octal-base tubes. If I had to guess, it looks like a TRF receiver, and not the superheterodyne design we take for granted. It probably used a wire-loop antenna and an "electrodynamic" speaker. Before WW2 permanent magnets were expensive. A solenoid coil would become the "exciter" magnet to make the speaker's voice coil push against. A couple thousand turns of wire would do the trick. It was also common for the audio output transformer to be mounted on the speaker, and not on the main chassis.

Would be cool if there was a closeup pic of the plate with the brand and model number on it.

Might have parts value to someone restoring pre-WWII radios. Kinda depends on how much time it spent at the bottom of the creek.
