what about the Star duster, aren't they good antenna's for 11 meter? don't ever hear anybody talk about them.
I always thought you were a man of good taste.I have a starduster on the corner of my garage. About 25 feet up does well for local and DX.
I used to live in Amarillo so I know what you mean. been looking at the star duster. I really need some help getting my galaxy set up with not much knowledge on this stuff. cant seem to get my questions posted on the forum. you mind helping me with info from time to time? thanksI have no experience with the antennas in the discussion but I personally run a dipole in the attic that does me well. Before that at my previous home I used the maco v5000 which I now have stored and I have to say the maco did really well for several years. Lots of dx with that thing! When I pulled it down after about 5 years everything was in tip top shape other than a little weathering to the rubber end caps on the radials. I don't ever hear the maco's get much love and not really sure why because it did me really well. I'll add that I used it only for the 11 meter band. Aluminum and stainless clamps so there isn't anything that'll wither away quickly, especially here in the Panhandle of Texas where summers are intense hot and icy cold winters.

Is the Sirio M400 as good as the original AS one?
Only had the original many years ago, lost it to a hurricane in the early 80's.
Put up a Telrex Rocket to replace it.
Attached original Rocket photo & a copy of plans for a knock off that I have built about
a dozen of for locals here. Covers 12,11, & half of 10 with swr < 2:1
I'm in Rochester. You?My main problem is the way my property is a end fed can only point North. It will be a sloper. Living a few miles from lake ontario That may only get me Canada. And no place to drop coax for a center fed antenna.
