Antenna pucks? What are and what are their use?

Christ they look terrible compared to the Breedlove ones. Got to drill 6 holes instead of one so 5 times more chances of cocking it up and 5 more points for water to possibly get in. And having the bolt heads sticking out on the top of the plate..... I'd much rather have the far more pleasant looking and better built one from Breedlove.
There are no mounts equal to Breedlove's

I just installed a Breedlove puck mount. The mount is solid and well built and also aesthetically pleasing.
My only complaint would be the surface area to tighten the bottom portion. It needs to have more surface area for a wrench or channel lock to grab hold of. It’s a small lip.

I think for the size and setup you are using maybe, but us low power "mud ducks" down in the weeds the ones we use are just fine.

That’s a big catalog at Breedlove. The puck mount I bought has four (4) thru bolts under the cap cover in addition to the main actor.
See the underside of your selection. The smaller ones may not.
