ANYONE ELSE SEEING AN INCREASE IN TELAMARKET AND SALES CALLS??

I signed up on the do not call list back in January, I get more calls than ever! Most of them are automated so there is no way to figure out who it is. I've told them off and have had them call back minutes later to spout off some profanity and then hang up.

No matter how vulgar I get with the phone company, there is no help for the lowly consumer.

Will All Telemarketing Calls Stop If I Register?
If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?
No. Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls.

This explains also why I'm getting a huge spike in telephone surveyors. I tell them they will have to pay for my participation.

anyone know who these guys are? Pushy folks. Have called about 5 times in the last two weeks. Just got a call, it went like this:

ABA: Hello, is this Worthless Consumer?

Worthless Consumer: May I ask who is calling?

ABA: Joe! Is this Worthless Consumer?

Worthless Consumer: Sure, why not?

ABA: Sure? OK. We would like to stop by and present some savings coupons, and explain a little bit about our program. How about between 7 and 7:15?

(That is in about 20 minutes from now)

Worthless Consumer: What is this about?

ABA: We'll see ya about 7:15. <Click>

Worthless Consumer: In case you all had not realized, I'm the worthless consumer. My guns will be loaded and that SOB is gonna answer some questions, if he shows up!

Ah, another call. Dang telephone surveyors. I've talked to these folks three times already in the recent, two or so weeks... The questions just keep going on and on and on. I told them, That is enough. This is too much thinking! I wanna get paid for this. I don't have time right now. How about later? How about I get paid?

the other guy never came. Good thing too...

LMAO I got 4 today on TV dishes I already have Direct TV Ive had that for years and there calling me WTF???

I always tell them that we are in the middle of dinner ,which is a family event in this household, give me your number and let me know what time you are doing something with your family and I'll call you then. they usually hang up on me, and i don't usually get another cal from them. Once i told the lady i wasn't interested and having a nice day during her little spiel and she cussed me out! I hit redial and called them back and got a different operator, i asked to speak to a supervisor the operator wanted to know what for? i repeated my request for a supervisor, and she told me that i couldn't talk to one. Thats when i told her that i was filling a complaint with the FTC and the FCC and the state trade commision, I got a supervisor real quick. When i explained what had happen and that i did not wish to be contacted by that agency any further she took me off their list and apologized profusly. haven't recieved a call since.
