Anyone ever adjust driver bias on a connex 4300hp

:eek: The Ranger Gods just felt the disturbance from that blasphemy, haha.

I too wanted that board, now I have a definite pattern to copy. I should’ve junked this one instead of rebuilding it, could’ve saved myself a lot of money.

the magnum S-3's that used bipolar drivers were like this.

their service info conveniently omits this step as well.

I do the same thing nomad does, and just watch the modulation peaks.

i feel like this VR was put in specifically to be able to 'goose' the drive to the finals in order to make big wattmeter numbers.

it would make sense then that they wouldn't put out an advertised spec for it because the whole point was for the tech to take on the liability if and when a power transistor popped.

just my opinion.

Oh yes off the top of my head you can gain 8 watts or so by cranking that bias.
