anytone 5555 and lincolon2 audio quality

we have both fo these radios. both work well, however, no matter if you use the built in speaker or an external speaker they dont sound all that great on ssb. it almost sounds like theres a dsp running or the filter isnt wide enough. anyone else notice this? is there a cure? biggest downfall of this radio to me

A few locals around here have the Lincoln 2+, and they sound excellent to me on SSB. I don't use speakers on my radios. Always use headphones.

I used a Lincoln for a while. I did not have any problems with the audio quality. My only issue was the adjacent channel rejection. It picked up bleedover like crazy.
