This came up on EBay this week. Anytone ARES II base radio. Obviously not a factory product, but reasonably well done

Yeah not a bad idea SM but I assume you realize too one can get freq readout already with button pushes on the digits on this radio. Pretty compact I feel it
would be a bit tricky to install a 6 digit freq counter. Nice idea though and the
thought crossed my mind too.

That is a neat radio, but it needs a big frequency display.
This. They need to get rid of that giant ugly logo and replace it with a frequency display !
Otherwise, it looks pretty good.......nice big meter, forward facing speaker; much neater looking than some of the kludge people come up with.

Looks kind of weird with the mic plug in the middle of the face like that though ! I would have moved it to the bottom left corner for sure. It would have been fairly easy to do.

The problem i see is that the case is 3D printed and its not a good job.
back maybe my first month using my printer it had lines like that but to me i would not sell a print job like that until i learned how to print with out the lines like that OR
fine sand them out which is not very hard.

Yeah I bought one and it's quite very nice! I had bought some radios from Jon in the past prior as well. A very neat idea turned into a pleasant small entertaining package! I tend to like things like this though personally.

How about some pics and where did you get it? Thanks

Sure some pictures, and I really am enjoying mine personally! He still has one on eBay at this time. I wish more people would become more active making something similar to them, I welcome that.
